Dungarvan, Co. Waterford Prioritises Flexibility with Glyde Bollard and Shannon Staple Installations

Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, recently invested in upgrading its street furniture, choosing the Glyde Bollard and the Shannon Staple Bike Stand from IPL Group's RIVERS range manufactured in Drogheda. This project highlights the increasing importance of flexible and adaptable solutions for modern urban design.

The Glyde Bollard, combining a robust steel post with elegant aluminium embellishments, was installed using an RS76 Retention Socket. This socket provides a secure foundation while allowing for easy removal or replacement of the bollard as needed, minimizing disruption to the surrounding area. Meanwhile, the Shannon Staple Bike Stand, crafted from durable stainless steel grade 316, was secured with an RS48 Retention Socket, offering the same adaptable benefits for bicycle parking infrastructure.

These innovative retention sockets offer significant advantages for cities like Dungarvan. They allow for quick and efficient adjustments to street furniture layouts in response to changing needs, events, or renovations. Additionally, in the event of accidental damage, the bollard or bike stand can be easily replaced without extensive repairs.
